I absolutely love to thrift store shop! I find such gratification coming out of the store with great finds that I had to hunt for and only spending $10.00! I think it began when my husband and I were first married and trying to save up to buy a house. Jeff made it clear that we needed to save every penny if we wanted a house of our own someday. Now I'm not horrible when it comes to money, but I do tend to have a slight obsession with clothes, shoes and home decor. He managed to spend little to no money on clothes or household items during this time. However, I, on the other hand decided to make it a challenge. My goal was to find cute decorations or clothes for as inexpensive as possible that wouldn't break the bank or take away from our marital goal of owning a home!
Thrift store shopping can be somewhat of an acquired taste and talent. As a first time "thrifter" you could walk into a store and just see junk, and this is where you're wrong. I have found many high price brands at thrift stores such as Juicy Couture, Seven for All Man kind, BCBG, Chinese Laundry, Free People, and more. The trick is you have to be willing to hunt. Sometimes it's like finding a needle in a haystack, but at the end it is oh-so worth it! I wanted to share with you some of my recent thrift store finds and I encourage you, if you haven't already, to give it a chance. You may be surprised by what you find!
